Gilroy Gardens sits among the hills on Hecker Pass Highway, just west of town. It is built for families with younger kids: the park describes its rides as "just right" for all ages, from toddler-friendly rides to roller coasters, set among landscaped gardens, with water attractions in the warmer months.

The park is known for its seasonal events, including The Great Big BOO! in the fall, North Pole Nights over the holidays, and Cherry Jubilee in early summer. Operating days and hours change through the year, so check the calendar before you go.

Good to know

  • Check the official calendar first. The park is not open every day, and hours vary by season and event.
  • Holiday and Halloween evenings are popular. Buy tickets online ahead of time.
  • Pair it with a winery stop on Hecker Pass Highway, or the outlets on the way back to the hotel.
